The CCU will be home to technicians
and a number of funded student assistants as well as computer science students at the master’sall levels.level. It constitutes is a collaborative research enterprise that provides and develops algorithmsfor the analysis and visualisation of highly complex scientific data repositories.In particular, i.e. the focus is on efficient
methods for tracking and measuring collectives, (semi) automated data analysis, data mining,
numerical simulation and parameter estimation, and for visual and interactive data exploration. Thecentre will be based on experiences with the existing Interdisciplinary Centre for Interactive DataAnalysis, Modelling and Visual Exploration (INCIDE) at the University of Konstanz that was builtupon a similar structure.
